SQL Job Commander has been tested with SQL Server® 2017 through 2025.
- Microsoft .NET 8.0 Desktop Runtime
- Installer available at: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/8.0
- Windows: 11 26H1, 11 25H2, 11 24H2 (IoT), 11 24H2 (E), 11 24H2, 11 23H2 (E), 10 21H2 (E), 10 21H2 (IoT), 10 1809 (E), 10 1607 (E)
- Windows Server: 2025, 23H2, 2022, 2019, 2016, 2012-R2
SQL Job Commander also uses the following NuGet packages and their dependencies:
- Avalonia UI 11.3.9 (November 18, 2025)
- Microsoft SQL Server Management Objects (SMO) 172.87.0 (November 7, 2025)
SQL Job Commander requires an Internet connection to brentec.ca to download feature flags.
Without an Internet connection, some features will not be available.
For the best possible experience while using SQL Job Commander it is highly recommended to use:
- Microsoft® Windows® 11 with a compatible pointing device and a minimum screen resolution of 1366x768.
- An Internet connection.
Testing and development has been successfully done with:
- Windows® 11 (Version 25H2 – OS build 26200.8457), against
- SQL Server® instances with collation of SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
- Other server collations have not been tested.
Based on market share and time, other operating systems (e.g., Windows 10, Windows Server) have not been tested and will not be tested in the future. However, if the above requirements are met, there is a pretty good chance SQL Job Commander will function normally on the aforementioned operating systems based on OS requirements for .NET 8 desktop runtime.
